    Project Description
    Key elements of the project included the design of approximately 5,630 linear feet of storm drain ranging in size from 12” to 42”, 2,850 linear feet of sanitary sewer ranging in size from 8” to 12”, 1,600 linear feet of water main, and 3,620 linear feet of full-depth roadway reconstruction. The project required and received approval from the Saco River Corridor Commission, Guilford Transportation Industries – Rail Division, Maine Department of Transportation, Maine Department of Environmental Protection, and the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development. The work was constrained by extensive blasting, excavation beneath a railroad trestle, alteration of a brick sewer and maintenance of pedestrian and vehicular traffic adjacent to two urban schools.
