    Project Description

Our latest project involves the rehabilitation of runway 11-29, safety area grading, centerline lighting system, new approach lights, new lighting vault, upgrading the localizer and glide slopes, and rehabilitation of taxiways A, B, C, and D.

This multi-year project began with the relocation of Johnson Road/Western Avenue in order to extend Runway 11 and its safety area.  This is a major artery to the Maine Mall.  The design involved expanding  lanes to accommodate 2015 traffic, signalization and interfacing with the new Maine Turnpike Exit 7A interchange.
