  • Stephen R. Bushey, P.E., Senior Engineer

    Project Description
Mercy Hospital has relocated its hospital facilities to a 42-acre property off the Fore River on the Portland Peninsula’s west side. The Master Plan envisioned a medical campus with a new hospital, medical offices, and supporting services. In excess of 400,000 square feet of multi-story building space is proposed with attendant surface parking facilities for greater than 1,000 vehicles, new utilities infrastructure, and landscape planning. The firm was instrumental in developing a layout that avoids critical resources associated with an onsite wetland pond and in coordinating the project with the Maine Department of Transportation’s Commercial Street Connector roadway.

    Critical Services

    • MeDEP Site Law Permit
    • MeDEP NRPA Permit
    • MDOT Traffic Movement Permit
    • City of Portland Contract Zoning Agreement
    • MeDEP Voluntary Response Action Plan
